Aktiv enters Brazilian Market
Takeover of SANYUU insurance brokers – 50% investement
The Aktiv group (Munich) and its Latin American partner Promove Corretora Seguros Ltda., have taken over the Brazilian insurance broker SANYUU. Both companies are holding a share of 50%.
Munich, February 2010 – Aktiv AG has been cooperating with the Brazilian insurance broker Promove Corretora de Seguros Ltda. (located in Sao Paulo) since 2008. At the beginning of this year, both companies have taken over the Brazilian insurance broker SANYUU, each holding a share of 50%. Acting as an insurance broker, SANYUU has solely represented Japanese interests in Brazil and will now profit from the experience of Aktiv Assekuranz international insurance brokers - a subsidiary of the Aktiv group – in order to become an independent insurance broker.
Joint-Venture with Mitsui Brazil: At the same time of the takeover, a joint-venture arrangement with Mitsui Brazil – one of the leading Japanese trading enterprises - was made. SANYUU will be dealing with all insurance interests of Mitsui and its partners in Brazil. The managed premium of 6 million US dollars shall be extended to 20 million US dollars.
Brazil’s predicted industrial growth as well as the UEFA World Cup 2014 and the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro will be playing a major part in achieving this goal.
